Give God Your Best Everyday
Do you have a favorite restaurant? Maybe somewhere you like to go to when you have a date night with your husband or out with friends? My son may say; “Chick-Fil-A”, yet my husband and I agree on the sushi place around the corner from our house. During this pandemic we find ourselves maybe even craving for our favorite places or local establishments. Maybe it’s the mouth-watering burger or steak or even the obeyance of social hour we long for. As the Coronavirus spreads, our homes may feel like a restaurant. I know I find myself in the kitchen more than ever!
Even writing this blog, I’m thinking about what I will make for dinner? As I open the refrigerator, I find some leftovers and pan for the easy route. It’s heated up chicken from the previous night, add a salad and fruit and call it a night. Doesn’t sound really creative, does it? But, defiantly easy! Sometimes I will even get bored of making the same meal and hope for a new recipe. How many ways can you really make chicken? Apparently over a hundred! Ha.

Imagine what it would be like if every person in America, or in the world for that matter were truly free – free from worry, free from sin, free from guilt, free from shame, free from control, free to choose. What does true freedom feel like? What does that look like in our hearts, in our homes and in our community?
Sadly, because of our broken world, some people have not had the privilege of having a great earthly father, but what we do all share is an amazing Heavenly Father. An All-Knowing Father that knew everything about us before we were even born. The Lord declared these truths to Jeremiah in chapter 1 verses 4 & 5, and He also speaks them to us:
“Before, I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
We have a Father that created us, adores us, and wants more than anything to have a relationship with us. Let’s spend some time this morning diving into God’s Word to see who He is and how much He treasures us.
