Dear Heavenly Father,
Because you greatly desire a relationship with me, you gave your son, Christ Jesus, so you could forgive me for all of my sins. Because I live on this side of the cross, I get to experience being freely forgiven, yet, because of my selfish condition, I struggle to grant the same forgiveness to others.
This morning, as I pause and connect with you, I want to dig deep and ask you to reveal to me the places in my heart that hold tight to unforgiveness & bitterness. I pray that with your help and strength, I can begin to give the same grace that I so easily receive from you to those who have disappointed me.
Lord, I know your ways are higher than my ways.
I know you only want what is best for me.
And, I know that when I walk in your ways that I can experience a peace that passes all understanding.
Thank you for being a God that loves and forgives.
