Ponder This: In knowing God’s word is right and true, how am I being called to rely on it today?
Scripture To Consider: For the word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all he does. -Psalm 33:4

Mary Ann's Response: Knowing that God’s word is right and true, I am called to trust in it every day. Some days feel easy and full of light. You wake up energized, the sun is shining, traffic moves smoothly, work goes well, and even dinner turns out just right. On days like these, gratitude flows naturally, and it’s easy to believe “This is God,” and feel confident that His Word is right and true.
But there are also days that do not unfold so perfectly, ones that are filled with heaviness, feelings of discouragement- or moments when negative thoughts fill our minds, leaving us wondering or even feeling afraid. Psalm 33:4 reminds us that even then, “the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 reassures us that God’s faithfulness does not run out on the hard days.“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your Faithfulness.” During these times, I am especially called to rely on this truth - to remember God’s faithfulness on the harder days, to stay prayerful, and to trust tomorrow can be brighter because He is still at work and is perfectly faithful.
Karen's Response: What a gift it is to carry God’s word with us wherever we go. I often think of God’s word as a litmus test - (like you used in your HS science class) a simple but trustworthy measure that reveals truth. No matter the situation, Scripture is the ultimate truth. It consistently gives the right answer because it comes from a faithful God.
Every day, I need God’s word because the enemy loves to whisper through worldly voices. His lies are often subtle, but oh so convincing: You’re not enough. God won’t come through, and on and on. These voices are everywhere, but they are NOT the authority. The Bible is my countermeasure, my sword, my truth, but I must be ready to use it.
Jesus himself modeled this when He was tempted in the wilderness.(Matthew 4) Three times, He answered the devil's temptations not with argument, but with Scripture. God’s Word was tucked into His heart, and instantly He could say, “It is written...” God’s word was His defense and His strength, and it should also be mine.
So today, when doubt creeps in, I will quote Scripture. I will boldly declare the word of the Lord. Tomorrow, when anxiety begins to rule my thoughts. I will open up my Bible and use it as a sword to defeat the evil one's lies.
We are all being called to rely on God’s word not as a last resort, but as our first line of defense. Let’s use God’s Word as our first response (our litmus test) to test every thought, fear, and lie. “Because the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all he does.” Psalm 33:4
