When they saw the star they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, and of incense and of myrrh. -Matthew 2:10-11

A Prayer of Adoration
Jesus, when I seek you and spend time in your presence, I am filled with such Joy. Just as the Magi, who were in awe when they saw you, I bow down and worship you, my King of all kings. Just as the Magi, who gladly laid their treasures before you, I willingly surrender all I am and all I have to you, trusting in your divine plan. On this day, and always, let me join with heaven, nature, and all of your children saying, Joy to the World, the Lord has Come!
