A Reading of Psalm 51
A Prayer For A Clean Heart
Gracious Father,
You know my flawed heart and have seen my sin. Still, you draw near with compassion. Thank you that through the love and sacrifice of Jesus, I am washed clean. Not because I deserve it, but because your grace is abundant. Help me, LORD, to turn to you in confession. When sin weighs me down, let me give it to you, for only you can lift the burden and remind me I’m invited to live free. When shame paralyzes me, speak your beautiful forgiveness and peace into my soul. Create in me a clean heart, not just today, but in all my days ahead. Bring awareness to the behaviors that draw me from you. Renew a right spirit within me so that I live in a way that is pleasing to You. And let my life always reflect a heart restored by you.
In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen
