Jesus,
my greatest desire is to walk in the freedom that only you can give. On this day, when we celebrate the gift of freedom in our country, let me also focus on what you did to give me eternal freedom. Please take from me all that is hindering me from experiencing this beautiful gift. Give me the courage to lay all of my past sin, anxiety, fear, doubt & future worry at the foot of the cross. I invite your Spirit to fill me up this morning, reminding me of the freedom that comes from knowing you more deeply and trusting in your promises. Thank you, Jesus, that through your sacrifice I am set free and will be free indeed forever more.
