Jesus woke you up and invited you into this day. He invites you to draw near to him. To come away with him. It is the greatest of all invitations. And he invites us right in the middle of the fray. Rather than waiting until everything “calms down” Jesus invites us as he invited his apostles to come to him in the context of feeling overwhelmed and over scheduled.
Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. So they left by boat for a quiet place, where they could be alone.” Mark 6:31-32 NLT
